Sunbird’s Wings

For Junko

Time blossoms music

Junko performs for children

Traditions she learns

Frog origami

Whispering to Northerners

Understand my loss

Waves of glistening tears

Scaling walls -with grieving heart

Hope for sunbird’s wings

  1. Beautiful, June. Along with the aid that is being sent to Japan in their hour of need, they need too to replenish the beauty in their lives…the beauty their culture is noted for.

  2. Junko tells me this was a gift she liked, it makes me happy to know that beautiful words and image can shed a little light on pain. Thanks Jill and Vi for your support of the blog and art, it’s truly appreciated.

  3. There is certainly something to be said for those moments when beauty returns after such hardship. This photo is amazing. I love the way the sunbird’s wings are still yet in flight. It is magical.

  4. So happy to be finding more sunbirds too Sally, I have been photoscouting, and hope to take more images like this. Our old home was so good for that.
