Wonder a day 12: Early Morning Time in the Country

summer 2012 005b
Today’s wonder is the morning – a time where bird song abounds, dew or last night’s rain drips off the flowers – and  buds of flowers remain closed – they wait for the sun.

This morning I missed the sunrise, that is another wonder to visit one day before this month ends, but I was still rewarded with the character of the morning.

Flocks of birds flew past.  I noted the symphony of nature with choral bird song, combined with solo birds cutting across them.

I noticed too how loud the insects sounded.

Morning time was when I chose to write before three kids and life led me to enjoy waking as late as possible, so now it’s usually the quiet of evening where I work and during the day when people are off at their business.

Perhaps it’s time to  do the same things differently as Mick Bromage points out in his recent ABC blog Doing the Same Things Differently.

For me the first thing to do differently is to try a few days shifting from writing and photographing in the evening  – to writing and photographing in the early mornings!

As for the second same thing to do differently – shift from sunset pictures to sunrise.  The beauty of his advice is chose one thing each day and take it from there.

How about you will you take on this challenge too – do the same things differently?
