I dreamed of a poetry book full of not only words but art, cultural diversity, nature and dreams.
On the way I met so many: children in poetry workshops, cassowaries on walks, writing groups in the Tropics, illustrators and writers in Brisbane, the Writelinkers, and then training with the Children’s Book Academy all about something called Kickstarter.
Then there was the illustrator who understood the work and said, ‘You can do it.’
