This week on the readilearn blog I am talking to June Perkins about her wonderful collection of poems for children Magic Fish Dreaming. With the beautiful illustrations by Helene Magisson, this collection is a delight for the ears, the eyes, and the spirit. Read about June’s inspiration for the poems, and use them as inspiration for poems of your own, or use them to inspire poetry writing in your students.

  1. Thank you for sharing this again, June. You provide such wonderful insights, it definitely deserves a wider audience. I hope everyone does themselves a favour and purchases their very own copy of your book to read and enjoy. It is pure delight.

  2. I love the cover. I tried clicking on the links and they didn’t work. I don’t know if I did something wrong. 🙂 Anyway, came here from Author/Bloggers Rainbow Support Club. Marsha 🙂

  3. I did eventually get a working link. I guess the reposted links did not work. It looks like a book I definitely want on my TBR list. 🙂 You should definitely meet my friend Carol, theeternaltraveler.wordpress.com. She’s adorable, writes a travel blog and is from Queensland, which I know is huge! 🙂

  4. Thanks Marsha. A lot of my writing has been place based, as QLD is so inspiring. Such variety of people and landscape. I’ll check out that blog of your friends.
