This reward is proving popular, book, calico bag and a set of greeting cards

Thanks so much to Karen Tyrrell, a wonderful writer and advocate for mental health and anti bullying, for her blog  about Magic Fish Dreaming yesterday. She is just one of the many writers from Writelinks who have thrown their support behind this endeavour. They really are great believers in the power of children’s literature.

You can visit it here and leave a comment if you wish Kid’s Poetry Book Magic

A massive thank you to the many people joining our backer family and re-posting about the project. Moala, Linda, Tanya, Melanie, Heidi, Lyn, Noss, Cam, Alison, Sam, Honora, Marion and Linda, are the latest, but our blog honour roll will be out at the end of the project!  One fabulous friend is giving fliers out that she has printed herself wherever she travels!

Today was a great day for Magic Fish Dreaming, with the project reaching 72% of the funds to the green light.  We have raised $6515 AUD out of our $9000AUD. But we’re not quite there yet and need another $2485 AUD to achieve our main goal – to have enough to create the book.

Kickstarter is all or nothing funding, so we must raise $9000 to go ahead.  This is partly to ensure that people prepare a budget that really does enable them to carry out their project.

We’re doing a count down,  100 pledges @ $25AUD  (1 book) or 50 pledges @$50 AUD (2 books) will mean this book comes into existence.  You can pick a higher reward level of course.

We have some media coverage coming up and will share some more news on that in our next post.

All project backers are receiving project updates!

Here is another one of our project rewards.  A book, a bag and a soft toy kookaburra.

Bread Crumbs, Stars and Cassowaries

Sending out twitter stars, and social media bread crumbs to lead you here   KICKSTARTER MAGIC FISH DREAMING.

There is a super fun poem about cassowaries going into Magic Fish Dreaming; it was inspired by seeing them everywhere searching for food when the cyclones had been through.

This young cassowary had headed into Tully after cyclone Larry and was looking for food.

He was later relocated safely back to his rainforest home.
