I have collaborated with June Perkins on creative community projects over the last 7 years, with the Cassowary Region Arts Council Association, Mission Arts, and the Licuala Writers Group.
I have been impressed by her professionalism, her ability to work well with community and arts groups, her creativity and imagination.
Projects she has worked on that are particularly impressive are Under One Sky, an anthology of local writers work, and The Smile Within an exhibition of photography and text on recovery from natural disaster. As well as working with community, she has a strong personal arts practice, particularly focused on photography and photographic collage, as well as writing skills.
